We want your outfits to still be just as flamboyant years from now. But what exactly is Wax? The word "wax" means "cire" in French. It is also known as African print, Dutch wax, ankara... It is a cotton textile with vivid colours and intricate patterns, printed using a wax technique. It is called African fabric. Ghanaian mercenaries returning from Borneo and Sumatra after the conflict between Dutch colonists and Indonesians in the aftermath of World War II brought back home the typical Indonesian fabric, Batik, and it was based on its manufacturing technique that it was renamed wax. From then on, wax pagne became popular among African women.

CUBA
We are the very first brand to have printed traditional Congolese patterns on Wax. The KUBA series is already in its 12th edition, with 12 numbered patterns directly inspired by the famous geometric figures
created by the Kuba and Shoowa peoples of Kasai, in the center of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Their textiles and graphics are known worldwide,
and are considered a must-have in terms of decoration. We have brought them
back to their original functions, namely to dress and adorn bodies.

BLING-BLING
Each of our collections features at least one print inspired by the accessories or jewelry that our mothers, who are our inspirations, love to adorn themselves with. The first print inspired by our accessories was titled "Mère 18 carats" (18-carat Mother), in reference to African women's love for all that glitters. One of the new prints inspired by what shines is called "La Ceinture de Mon Mari" (My Husband's Belt). A nod to all those who know that an outfit can be enhanced with this ultimate accessory.
